Why family childcare?

Your child will be a member of a close knit group of mixed age children. Research shows that mixed age groups are beneficial to young children on a social and developmental level. You have one provider who will get to know your child very well on more of a one on one basis. Your child will be treated as if they are a part of a family in a home-like setting. Family child care is much more flexible and can adjust on a day to day basis according to your child's needs. With the smaller group and the individual attention given to each child it is easy to incorporate activities that are developmentally appropriate, specifically for your child and their abilities. You will also deal with the same person every day at drop off and pick up as opposed to at a center where you may not even know the name of the person who happens to be working when you drop off or pick up.
